Mr. Guna Segran S. Suppiah, Managing Director of Uniworld Logistics (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.
A Masters Holder in Business Management major in Supply Chain Management from Asia E University, Malaysia & Executive Diploma in Logistics Management from UCSI University, Malaysia.
His journey started in Logistics & Supply Chain Industry, in the year 1991 as a Sales Executive with Federal Express, Malaysia.
In 1997, Mr. Guna Segran became Operation & Sales Manager at Jardine Logistics, Malaysia.
Having 15 years of experience in the logistics industry, Mr. Guna Segran’s striving desire enable him to start his own logistics company on a join venture with a local Malaysian group of companies in the year 2006.
In the year 2007, Uniworld Group of Companies offered Mr. Guna Segran’s company to merge into their globally connected group which created a new wave in the logistics field in Malaysia and South East Asia as Uniworld Logistics (M) Sdn. Bhd.
Mr. Guna Segran with his 30 years of experience in the logistics industry has build Uniworld Logistics (M) Sdn. Bhd. into a well-established company in Malaysia and Uniworld Group as a whole in South East Asia. With further expansion in mind, Mr. Guna Segran has turned Uniworld Logistics (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd into a familyowned business with 100% stake holding in the company.
His vision and determination were rewarded with awards at SME & Entrepreneurship Business Awards 2018 by Malaysia Entrepreneurship Foundation (MyPreneurship) as Mr. Guna Segran was
Mr Surendran Kumar Guna Segran is the Director at Uniworld Logistics (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. He was born in 1991 and is a Business Management Graduate.
In 2016, he started to flex into an immense network in the logistics industry as a Business Development Officer at Uniworld Logistics (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, a company that was founded by his father Mr. Guna Segran.
He led off the company by establishing its own 5PL Warehousing operations in Malacca. The warehouse is strategically situated to facilitate cross-border trucking into Singapore and distribution activity to the southern region.
With his experience and young enthusiasm to grow the company, he aggressively led a major chartering project of construction pile for the Matarbari Powerplant Project in Bangladesh. He also managed site-shifting projects and several air charter projects with Dangerous Goods also being a requirement.
During the pandemic era recently, Mr. Surendran ensured there was a smooth flow in the supply chain for his customers with Medical Equipment, Personal Protective Equipment, Gloves & Oxygen Concentrators. These were shipped from various parts of the world into Europe and the USA, especially during the peak of the pandemic.
He was awarded as one of the Top 10 Entrepreneurs for Logistics Solutions by Yayasan Usahawan Malaysia (MyPreneurship) at the SME Entrepreneur Business Awards 2021 (SEBA 2021). This award was given considering the network that Mr. Surendran Kumar and Uniworld Logistics are involved in on a daily basis able to handle almost 475 trade lanes around the globe with end-to-end logistics solutions.
